Eigo81 is for businesses, services and English speakers in Japan. Looking for a hairdresser that speaks English? A psychologist that works with the expat community? Perhaps just where you can buy that particular something from your home country. Then Eigo81 is for you.

Why Eigo81? Why Japan?

The founders of Eigo81 are long-time expats with experience in multiple countries. One of the largest issues for people moving into a new country, especially when they don't speak the language, is settling in. Finding resources. Where do I go for this? How do I pay for that? Making sure that taxes are paid and rules are followed. We love Japan for all its ups and all of its downs. Maybe not so much the downs but that's why we're here! Eigo81 aims to help!

Moving forward

This is only the first phase of Eigo81's development. We intend to be a one-stop shop for all your Japan living needs but this takes time and resources. New features, plans and ideas all intend to be implemented so keep your eyes open for future updates.

Why moderation matters

Eigo81 is intended to feel useful and trustworthy, so listings and suggestions are structured to pass through review rather than publishing directly without oversight.

Why pink?

Honestly? Because grey has already had enough meetings. Sakura pink is warm, easy to spot, and tied to one of Japan's most iconic symbols: cherry blossoms. It gives Eigo81 a little seasonal optimism without making the whole site smell like a souvenir shop. Practical, friendly, slightly cheeky. That felt about right.
